Meet AJ

Hi, I'm AJ. I'm autistic and have ADHD. Welcome to my brain.

I'm a psychology graduate from the North East. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 15 and found out I was autistic at 20. Now I work in schools, run training for professionals and families, and make resources and animations that explain what being neurodivergent is actually like.

I think that if you want to learn about neurodivergence, the best people to ask are neurodivergent people themselves.

Everything being explained from experience has helped me understand emotions, feelings, reasons why and how to approach things differently.

Conference Feedback

April 2024

As a mental health nurse, I feel like I have always taken a very clinical view. This course has helped me to not look at autism as 'a problem' but more to be understood and embraced.
